19.4 to HJ Nielsen, slower ball on a good length, Nielsen is through a slog way too early. Appropriately tame end to a tame innings.. 138/7 19.5 to PM Siddle, another slower length ball on middle and leg, Siddle is similarly through his heave to the leg side early. Top of leg stump is knocked back.. 138/8
4 | 0 | 21 | 2 | 5.25 | 12 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
5.3 to J Weatherald, full on fifth stump, width to encourage a lofted drive but doesn't get any power behind it and shovels it up to long-off who settles under this with ease 15 yards in from the rope, taken at head height.. 34/3 13.6 to RJ Gibson, absolute gem! Qais has been getting consistent turn when he's given more flight to his legbreaks all night. Floats this up on a good length on middle and Gibson walks through a flick to midwicket that spins sharply past the outside edge before the bails are whipped off.. 91/5
3 | 0 | 31 | 1 | 10.33 | 4 | 3 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
2.3 to HJ Hunt, yorker speared into the legs and Hunt misses a flick to the leg side, huge lbw shout upheld. Live this looked like it was sliding well past leg stump with three stumps showing at the time he played the flick. Replays pretty much confirm that. Another poor umpiring decision in this BBL.. 21/1
4 | 0 | 24 | 2 | 6.00 | 8 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
3.3 to MW Short, charges a full ball on off stump, shovels this flat to the man on the ring at mid-off, who doesn't have to move and takes a simple catch at head height.. 29/2 18.3 to JW Wells, flighted full on fifth stump, slog down the ground trying to clear long-on very straight but Webster rangers 15 yards to his left along the rope and gives a bunny hop reaching up to his left to intercept this. Denies a sure six and ends a solid innings from Wells.. 128/6
4 | 0 | 21 | 1 | 5.25 | 9 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
12.1 to T Kelly, waist high full toss on middle, Kelly tries to muscle a pull over cow corner but miscues this to Cartwright who shuffles 10 yards left and clutches on 10 yards inside the rope.. 81/4

1.4 to CD Hinchliffe, good length inswinger pitching near leg stump coming over the wicket to the left-hander Hinchcliffe, heave across the line misses. Big lbw shout upheld. There was an awful lot of doubt in all directions. Did it pitch in line with the stumps? Was contact in line with the stumps? Was it even going on to hit the stumps? Umpire caught up in the emotion of the appeal but looked like another poor call.. 7/1
4 | 0 | 16 | 1 | 4.00 | 14 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
7.5 to JA Burns, full on middle and leg, goes to slog sweep this over backward square but only manages to pick out the man Hunt five yards inside the rope shuffling right to take a head high catch in stride.. 43/3
4 | 0 | 34 | 1 | 8.50 | 6 | 0 | 2 | 3 | 0 | |
4 to NCR Larkin, flights a ball that drifts on a good length down the leg side. Wide called but a loose flick results in Larkin overbalancing and a simple stumping is completed.. 25/2

11.6 to HWR Cartwright, short on the body, goes to pull this high over deep backward square leg but doesn't get the distance on this. Hangs in the air for the fielder to circle around and take this in stride 15 yards in from the rope.. 83/4 18.5 to JM Clarke, slower ball on the stumps on a good length, tries to muscle this down the ground to level the scores but doesn't get the power behind it and hangs up in the air for Thomas Kelly to charge in 20 yards and to his left, taking the catch eight yards in from the rope at rib height.. 133/5 |
