That's all from us for this match, join us shortly for the second game of the day. Till then, this is Saurabh Somani signing off, on behalf of Dhemmanth too.

5.27pm David Warner: "It was a great game, but at the end a tad disappointing from our side. I want to pay credit to Sabbir, the way he came out and played. And obviously Pooran finished it off. 194 was above par and very defendable. But if you give four chances, you're going to have a tough time defending. And obviously they had the injection of AB, a world-class player around the world. The crowd is fantastic, I'm extremely grateful to BCB to let me come here and play. Great atmosphere. Hopefully my team can keep winning some games. We need to address some situations, one obviously being the bowling towards the end. General match awareness, not all guys are watching the captain all the time. The guys are giving it their all, there's no doubt about that."

Rilee Rossouw is the man of the match. Rode his luck but made 61 important runs. "It was a good game, unbelievable entertaining. The boys chased down a total, which we though they got maybe 10 runs too much. But serious team performance today. Got to give credit to our boys for keeping their nerve. The boys at the back end finished it very well."

Mashrafe Mortaza: "If we had lost this, we might have been out of the tournament. We chose the difficult way to win, but it's nice, we got our confidence back. We can play the next match with confidence. Our batting depth is not very strong, but our top four are the most destructive players in the world. So we had the confidence that if we can score 60-65 in the Powerplay without losing wickets we can win, because AB is there. We are lucky enough that we could finish. The last few matches we couldn't. Today was 50-50, credit to Farhad for the way he hit."

5.15pm Thrilling match, but Sixers might rue their fielding lapses. Those might have cost them the game. Otherwise, if you have eight overs of Mohammad Irfan and Sandeep Lamichhane and 194 to defend, you should be winning 9 times out of 10. Not to speak of four overs from Taskin Ahmed.

AB de Villiers begins his BPL career with a win. "I was seeing the ball nicely. I always love finishing games in those situations, unfortunately didn't happen. But great win for the team. Great crowd and atmosphere. The wicket is a little bit low, the way I got out kind of surprised me, skidded off the deck. But I've played all around the world and am experienced enough to adjust. But like I said, it means a lot to the team that we pulled through."

Kapali to Farhad, FOUR runs

Farhad Reza take a bow He was hit for a few sixes when he bowled, and he's kept his cool to take Riders to a thrilling win now. This was full on the stumps, and he went straight again, as he has done in the last over. Nailed the straight drive once again, and the ball has crashed into the ropes. Sylhet won't send off Warner with a win. Riders, move above them in the points table.

Kapali to Farhad, no run

down the track and flicks, but short midwicket intercepts. Dot ball!

Kapali to Mortaza, 1 leg bye

drifts on the pads, he misses with the flick but the ball rolls away to the leg-side for a single

bouncer, and he was backing away but had to also duck to get his head out of the way. More importantly, a dot ball.

24 off 14 and in one ball the equation is back in favour of Sixers, after going in favour of Riders one ball previously. That's what a six and a wicket can do in the death overs in T20s

Taskin to Mithun, OUT

taken at long-off very full again outside off, and Mithun wanted to repeat the previous result, tried to go over long-off but didn't get underneath it and didn't time it. Ends up spooning a catch to Warner at long-off

Taskin to Nahidul, FOUR runs

nicely picked up, off his toes and to the square leg fence. Bad ball from Taskin, straying on the pads and too full

mis-times his pull badly for it to balloon over the bowler and land between him and the men on the fence. The batsman run two because the fielders have to cover some ground to get to the ball and return it

Irfan to Mithun, no run

clever bowling if intentional. High full toss, just below the waist. Takes him by surprise and he tries to adjust late and whip it through cover but misses

Irfan to Nahidul, 1 run

back of a length on off, too close to cut but he goes at it anyway. Takes a thick outside edge and loops to third man. The man collects on one-bounce

Irfan to Nahidul, no run

back of a length outside off, bouncing a fair bit. He gives himself room to try and cut it over the top but misses altogether

Irfan to Nahidul, FOUR runs

cheeky walks across his stumps and paddle-scoops this almost yorker length ball from outside off to the fine leg fence
