yorker at leg stump, defended into the leg side
Trinbago vs Tallawahs, 24th Match at Kingston, Aug 26 2017 - Ball by Ball Commentary
12:11 am That's all from our coverage today. Thanks for joining.
Sanga: We bowled very poorly today. I think it was tiredness playing back-to-back. WE bowled too many length balls. Not many variations, not many slower balls. Gotta adjust quickly in T20 and we didn't do it today. We've got to really brush up our skills for the next game. Use the rest day tomorrow and get some practice in.
Bravo: Congratulations to the entire team. Coming to Jamaica is always tough and to get the jinx off our back tonight was nice. Chasing 200 is always going to be challenging. We don't play cricket as a funny game, we're going to to play the next game to win as well [despite qualification guaranteed]. No tweaking. This team is hungry for success. It's difficult to win a tournament like this where all teams are strong.
Brendon McCullum, Man of the Match: The wicket slowed up a lot and the time we wanted to accelerate, they bowled well. They took the pace off and used the crease, but we wanted to get a good score not just a par one. It's nice [to be on the brink of qualification] after last year. The partnerships were brilliant - Munro, Bravo and Frylinck towards the end as well . It was a partnership kind of innings.
11:55pm And that's the end of an innings that fizzled out into a let-down after a big foundation. Jamaica started well till the back-to-back wickets of Sanga and Simmons set them back. Even so, they were in the hunt. They needed 66 with five overs remaining and six wickets in hand. They managed only 29. Slower ball after slower ball dug them further down, starting with Mahmudullah, and going through all the way into the last over.
