So Border escape with a draw. With the first day lost to the elements, WP made good progress by dismissing Border quickly. However, they batted too long in their first innings, no doubt hoping for a similarly dysfunctional perfrmance

A good partnership between de Kock and Gquamane, when all seemed lost, did just enough to take the match beyond the home team's reach.

A puzzling aspect was the fact that Kemp, who looked the least likely to take a wicket, bowled more overs than any other bowler.
