superb catch from van Wyk! Morkel slammed one down much shorter, it leapt up at young Dockrell and took the edge of the shoulder of the bat, the keeper tumbled to his right to complete the dismissal and that's the end of Ireland
Ireland have been blown away, and South Africa complete a 131-run win in Kolkata. The Irish fought really hard in the field, keeping South Africa pegged back with wickets, but they couldn't keep it up with the bat. They managed to keep up with the asking rate, but at the expense of wickets, which fell at regular intervals. William Porterfield "We started off pretty well, got wickets up front and pegged them back. We were happy enough at half time chasing 270 but just lost wickets. We've been pretty good with our ground fielding throughout the tournament but we missed a couple of catches. We've shown competitive spirit, in a lot of the games we kept ourselves in the game. We've got a lot of positives from this tournament."
Graeme Smith: "I think you can always nitpick, but there were some good signs today. We put ourselves under pressure with some stupid run outs but the guys responded really well after that, especially JP [Duminy] who batted really well under pressure. He really held things together, and then Colin Ingram, who hasn't played for a while, came in and batted well. We've done the first part of his now."
No surprises, JP Duminy is the Man of the Match: "The circumstances were a bit tense [when I came in], the key was to try and stay as calm as possible. I've done it a fair number of times now, and I've grown into this role nicely, and I hope it continues. I was trying to hit the ball out of the ground at the end, you never know when a few runs might make all the difference in the game."
Aoife Nolan: "I am still an Irish Blonde and I still support the redheads!!!"
shuvo_Kalmar: "@Aoife Nolan, i am in the same folk with you. See you redheads next WC hopefully with some more excitment." I'll second that, and also say goodbye to everyone who joined us for this game. We hope you enjoyed our coverage, and join us next time!
Kannan: "Good catch from van Wyk - now he can celebrate it with a haircut.. must be brutal with the heat over there - geez."
cracked over cover! Is there anything George Dockrell can't do?
Smith goes for the kill and brings back Morkel
no danger of Rankin getting in line with the ball ... he stands on leg stump and pushes the hands out, the ball zips past the outside edge
Kallis stays round the wicket to the left-handed Rankin, who pops the ball up towards midwicket ... but it drops safe
just one more to go now, Kallis comes round the wicket, Mooney drives and the edge goes straight through to van Wyk. He beat him a couple of times in the last over, now he gets one to touch the bat as Mooney drives rooted to the crease
a thick inside edge rolls into the leg side, and they steal a quick single
A second slip comes in now
wide of off, Dockrell throws the bat at it and the ball flies wide of the lone slip and down to the third man boundary!
this one hits the seam and comes in, but Dockrell is right behind the line to defend
stylish drive from Dockrell, it beats a diving cover
Mooney flicks across his front pad to send the ball out to deep midwicket
skewed off the outside half of the bat, into the covers
and again! Fuller this time, but same result
arm ball, rushes straight on to beat the outside edge
Slip in place now
Duminy comes round the wicket to Dockrell, who taps back to the bowler
And that's drinks
and now he's beaten on the outside edge, minimal reaction from the South Africans though, they're just sort of going through the motions at the moment
airy drive outside off, the ball scoots past the inside edge
Kallis comes round the wicket, full on off stump and driven to cover
dug in quite short, Dockrell stands tall and angles it down to third man
a rasping cut goes straight out to the man at deep cover
There's one wide slip in place
loosener, landing on a length outside off. Mooney swishes, and is beaten
Well, here's pace - but it's Kallis
