that's it! MacLeod finds that elusive wicket Scotland needed. A great ball which escapes the defence of Barnett and rattles his off-stump. Game over but what a fight from the Canadians
Scotland vs Canada, at Aberdeen, Jul 02 2009 - Ball by Ball Commentary
Scotland win by 29 runs. The Canadians put in a great effort with the bat on day 3 but just didn't from enough solid partnerships. The Scots will be relieved as they were in the driving seat from day 1 and it would have been a horrible shock had the Canadians pulled off the run chase.
A good winning start to the ICC I'Cup for Scotland who now play Ireland in August while Canada play the Netherlands later this month in the 4-day format. Both teams will now be looking forward to the two ODI's next week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Both matches will be held here at Mannofield in Aberdeen so if you can't join me there then we will have ball-by-ball coverage here on cricinfo.com with me Callum Stewart. For now it's goodbye from Scotland and have a good evening.
solid blocking again
lovely cover drive beats the infield and the chasing man to the boundary
rock-like again from Osinde
blocked to point this time
pace beats the outside edge of the bat
solid again from no.11
blocked to the leg-side
edged to gully but along the ground
defended again to the off-side
blocking to the covers
knocked to long-on
and again quite content with his heroics
blocked this time
where did that come from? First ball and 11th man Osinde smacks the ball high over the bowlers head and towards long-on where 13th man Ross Lyons can only get a hand on it to tip the ball over the boundary for six
blocked again
too straight and dispatched over midwicket
solid defence from "Barney" as his team mates like to call him and are giving plenty of support. He's still injured out there but batting through the pain
wide of Barnett this time
same again
