Smartt leaves the crease, drives it in the air, and long-on completes a simple enough catch

"Daley started off well," says Merissa Aguilleira. "But I guess the batting fell apart. In the beginning we didn't get it together. We had just one good partnership. Perry and Lisa bowled really well, so I guess we have to say hats off to them. Congrats to Australia, and we want to thank the supporters who have come down here and fans back home. We are disappointed, I am sure they are disappointed, but we will come back again."
"We had great belief in the team," says Jodie Fields. "It would have been nice to get 140, but we knew 115 was enough with our bowling attack. Thought there would be more for the seam bowlers in it, but Perry and Hunter were good. We'll bring it on for the final, and are just going home now and support the Aussie men."
"With a fairly low total it was important to start well with the ball," says Player Of The Match Elysse Perry. "It was also nice to see Lisa bowl that well, and fr Hunter to pick five was really wonderful. It was also nice to see the work the spinners did."
So it's the usual suspects in the final now. Australia, after this comfortable win, will face England in the final. West Indies were excellent in the field, and their spinners did a decent job on a slow pitch, but that 115 looked just about enough at half time. The Australian bowlers lived up to the expectations with their quick women taking seven wickets, one catch and a run-out between them. Bowling around 120ks, swinging the ball, they proved to be the difference. And they were good to watch too, because it is tempting to not give the ladies pace to work with and capitalise on the lack of power-hitting. The Aussies, though, went after the wickets, and got them
Hunter looking for a Michelle here. if she does get it, it will be her first
another wicket, another good catch. Anisa charges at her, but all she manages to do is slice towards mid-off. Lanning runs back from mid-off and takes a safe catch
Last over coming up. Australia all but through
driven down to long-off
Just noticed the Australian uniforms. Perhaps the only team to have separate ones for men and women. And dare I say, these - yellow, as opposed to dark green/black - look much better. Not least, perhaps, to do with those who are wearing them
tries the big sweep, is right in front of the stumps, and is out dead plumb leg-before
full and fast, pushed into the leg side
Missed stumping. Australia have sort of taken the foot off, but they aren't likely to pay for it. This misses the off stump by inches, but Fields can't make the take
driven into the leg side for one
Dropped by Healy. First drop of the match. Men can learn from that. Healy runs in well from long-off, gets under this sliced shot, but can't quite hold on to it
Spin on in the 19th over

another wicket for Hunter. Stacy-Ann King, the Gayle lookalike, especially when she is fielding with her shades on, sweeps this nicely, but finds deep midwicket to perfection. That's two wickets, a run-out and a catch for Perry now. And three wickets for Hunter. Australia doing it with the quicks

Tremayne Smarrt is in. "Not sure the ladies will appreciate their age being put up there," says Ian Chappell
and Hunter has made a superb comeback to the bowling crease. She bowls a length ball, Nero sweeps around it, and the leg stump is hit
Hunter is back, despite an ordinary last over. Round the stumps
wastes a big full toss, hitting it straight to mid-off. She just about makes the single, too, beating the direct hit by a split frame
lovely fielding again. Driven hard, and to her right, but Osborne dives full length to her right and keeps them down to zero
flighted just outside off, turning towards off, defended to leg
flighted outside off, swept away for a single
lovely catch at midwicket. And it's Daley, west Indies' all-round player today. How about that catch, though? Daley has got too close to the ball, and doesn't get the elevation she needs. But it is dying on Blackwell at midwicket, who dives forward and to her right to pluck it inches off the ground
short of a length, on off, turning away, pushed back to her
That over shows 8 an over in women's cricket is too high an ask. Now we have reached 10 an over. Perry has done her job with 4-0-19-2. Is there some miracle around for West Indies?
