"Daley started off well," says Merissa Aguilleira. "But I guess the batting fell apart. In the beginning we didn't get it together. We had just one good partnership. Perry and Lisa bowled really well, so I guess we have to say hats off to them. Congrats to Australia, and we want to thank the supporters who have come down here and fans back home. We are disappointed, I am sure they are disappointed, but we will come back again."
"We had great belief in the team," says Jodie Fields. "It would have been nice to get 140, but we knew 115 was enough with our bowling attack. Thought there would be more for the seam bowlers in it, but Perry and Hunter were good. We'll bring it on for the final, and are just going home now and support the Aussie men."
"With a fairly low total it was important to start well with the ball," says Player Of The Match Elysse Perry. "It was also nice to see Lisa bowl that well, and fr Hunter to pick five was really wonderful. It was also nice to see the work the spinners did."
So it's the usual suspects in the final now. Australia, after this comfortable win, will face England in the final. West Indies were excellent in the field, and their spinners did a decent job on a slow pitch, but that 115 looked just about enough at half time. The Australian bowlers lived up to the expectations with their quick women taking seven wickets, one catch and a run-out between them. Bowling around 120ks, swinging the ball, they proved to be the difference. And they were good to watch too, because it is tempting to not give the ladies pace to work with and capitalise on the lack of power-hitting. The Aussies, though, went after the wickets, and got them
