Shemaine Campbelle

Born in Berbice, Guyana, Shemaine Campbelle started out as a legspinner and medium pacer who batted in the lower order. Known for her athleticism on the field, she developed her batting to move up the order. Campbelle's versatility is perhaps best illustrated by the fact that she has 50 wickets, close to 3000 runs, and more than 50 dismissals as wicketkeeper in international cricket.

On T20I debut in Paarl in October 2009, Campbelle took 3 for 7 and was named the Player of the Match. In February 2013, she scored her maiden ODI hundred - 105 in West Indies' total of 180 against Sri Lanka - and became the first woman to score a century at No. 7 or lower in one-day internationals. She was part of West Indies' title win in the 2016 T20 World Cup and has featured in all the editions of the tournament since 2010. As of August 2024, she is the most capped woman in T20Is for West Indies and one of only four to have played 100 internationals in both white-ball formats.
