And Pakistan go through to the next round in style. What a Dutch capitulation this has been. Gul cleans up the leg stump. The crowd roar. Netherlands played well against England but couldn't repeat the trick today. Pakistan didn't allow them. Their spinners, Ajmal and Afridi in particular, were fantastic. As some of you have mailed in, Kamran Akmal now has the most stumpings in a T20.
Pakistan vs Netherlands, 9th Match, Group B at London, Jun 09 2009 - Match Result
Smits: "We didn't have a good day. Afridi was outstanding. That's what we said in the morning, we had to fear Afridi and he did it. Our bowling was ok but it was too much for us. Congrats to Pakistan. It's a privelege to be here and we made some impact on Friday night. "
Younis: "It was all about partnerships today. I thought 180 and 190 should be good. We wanted to be positive and so we batted first. The spinners- Afridi and Ajmal- bowled really well.
Man of the Match Kamran Akmal: "T20 is a fun game. Everybody is practising fours and six. we got good partnerships going. I am very happy with the wicketkeeping. I have worked very hard on it."

yorker length at the leg stump, dug out towards cover, Afridi fires in a direct hit at the non-striker's end. The batsman seems to have been just in.
really full and outside leg, Smits moves further outside leg, has a swing and a miss.
flighted full, driven to long-off
gets behind the line of the off break to defend it to the on side
Another stumping from Akmal. It was another lovely little doosra from Ajmal, who has really impressed today. Nannes had walked into the shot and was beaten by the delivery that broke away. He must have thought that he was bowled as he didn't initially try to get back. Akmal had not collected cleanly but recovered quickly to break the stumps. nannes turned back only after that. Too late.
flighted on the middle, swept to long leg
fetches it from outside off and sweeps it to deep backward square leg
Ajmal turns it in from outside off, beats the swipe and hits the pad
Gull misses a run out! It was pushed to the off side of the pitch and the non-striker had rushed out. Gul turned around and fired in a throw but missed the stumps and now they take the single
slower one, bounces past the attempted carve to the off side and goes over the middle stump
makes room by going outside leg and drives to right of deep cover
fuller, outside off stump, tries to slash it away, gets a inner edge and the ball rolls to Akmal
moves all over the crease and Gul fires in another bouncer ... Akmal gathers.
bouncer outside off stump and Akmal gathers. Afridi rushes to have a word with Gul
yorker on the off stump line, pushed out to mid-off
charges down the track but is beaten by the lack of pace and is hit on the pad
goes right back to work it to square leg
Almost run out! It was hit to cover where the captain Younis swooped on the ball and fired in a throw to Akmal who whipped the bails off. Stranded short of the crease you would think but the bails didn't come off in time.
