Rifat Islam Pla: "Well played Oman. This is a historical moment for Oman cricket team."

Nicolaas Scholtz: We lost a bit of momentum in the last five overs of our innings, we went a bit too hard, too early and they bowled well. We were 10 short, 149 was par.

Sultan Ahmed, Oman captain: Very important win for us. We are going to party tonight.

With the win, Oman have been granted T20I status. Another reason to celebrate.

Oman played the slow bowling expertly well, not allowing Namibia to string together dot balls, and thereby kept the required run-rate in check at all times. There was a bit of pressure in the middle but Zeeshan's innings took them through to a memorable victory.

Zeeshan Siddiqui is the Man of the Match. "Our plan was to keep the required run-rate below 8. We wanted to play positive cricket. Our plan has worked and we are very happy. I'm not taking any pressure and the results are there to see."

Humdaan : "Great win by Oman. Would love to see their composure in India!!!!!"

Williams to Zeeshan Siddiqui, FOUR runs

what a shot to take Oman through to the World T20. Flat-batted over mid off for six, and Oman's camp rush on to the field in elation. Namibia are disconsolate. Well played Oman, and well played Zeeshan Siddiqui. Namibia, therefore, will not be travelling to India. Oman's celebrations have not stopped yet, and rightly so. They are the lowest-ranked team to qualify for a senior World Cup.

Irfaan: "Siddiqui deserves a half-century and MOM ..."

Great shot once more, quality stroke, gives himself a bit of room, clears his front foot and smashes it on the ground past cover, no chance for the sweeper

another wicket, wild slog from Mehran. Gets a thin inside edge and rattles the stumps. Too wide outside off to hoick to leg, poor shot selection

fuller and tucked to midwicket, the fielder is quick on the ball and throws it swiftly to the keeper who takes it well, and whips off the bails quickly to find the batsman well short. Another needless run out for Oman, can Namibia find a way through now?
