It's a 41-run win for Punjab. Priety is out there hugging the boys. She might as well have hugged them in the half time. Rajasthan will rue the poor start they had. Maybe the big hitters could have come out earlier. Niraj played a good hand and Yusuf blasted a few into the crowds but it was always going to be a near-impossible target to hunt down. Punjab will go into the semi-finals high on confidence and if they meet this team in the final, might just start as marginal favourites. However, Shane Warne would like to look at it the other way around: how his second-string side competed against a strong Punjab outfit.

Shane Watson: "Shaun Marsh batted beautifully. When he's going like that, he's really hard to stop. We thought maybe 200 would be gettable but the last five cost us. Yusuf and Akmal batted beautifully to get us as close as possible. We didn't get off to the best start but it wasn't today. But those guys in the middle order did really well. We need to make sure we do what we're thinking in our minds and concentrating for the semi-final."

Yuvraj Singh: "Good to hit the ball. I took a little time and was timing it well. Hats off to Marshy, he took it away. Hopesy was looking really good and did well with both bat and ball. Our combination is right for the semi-finals. We have enough bowlers and allrounders."

Shaun Marsh: "My best innings in the tournament definitely. I'm really enjoying being out in the middle. Playing in the IPL is a fantastic experience for me. Looking forward to the big game in Mumbai. I try and go ball by ball, if it's there hit it, if not, look for the single. Pretty basic philosophy. Me and Hopes tried to get the team off to as quickly a start as possible. And it worked today. I've spoken to my dad (Geoff Marsh) a few times in this tournament and he's a happy man."

Hope you enjoyed this blockbuster of a game. Thanks for joining us. This is Siddhartha Vaidyanathan signing off from Cricinfo. Good night and good luck.

Pathan to Pankaj, 1 run

44 off the last over, yorker outside off, dug out towards short midwicket for one

Amar: "I think Yusuf, Yuvraj and Marsh should try playing some golf. Tiger's place would definetly be under scrutiny had these guys were inspired by Gary Player instead of Kapil Dev."

and another, short ball but that was rising on him, too quick for Salunkhe and he can only get a skier as he tries to pull, high in the air but Hopes ensures he has it covered.

Hopes to Pathan, OUT

End of hopes, he's swung that to square leg and Marsh has pulled off a fine catch, diving forward and latching on clean, not that well timed from Yusuf this time. Hopes seals it
