11.45 pm local time: Mumbai have lost their third nail-biter in a row. They were well and truly on top of this one but they lost their nerve in the final overs. Mumbai needed two of one ball against Punjab but Yuvraj thwarted them with a Jonty Rhodes-esque run-out. Mumbai were defending two off the final ball today and two fumbles allowed Rajasthan to maintain their unbeaten run at home.

Phew what a finish, it came down to who would hold their nerve and the unfancied duo of Patel and Jadeja outsmarted Mumbai.

Tendulkar: "I really don't know the recipe for this. The games which we almost won, we've given them away. It's getting tougher and tougher. We didn't use common sense. Common sense would have helped us. The match was 80-90% on our side. With all the experience on our side we should have bowled better lines. I would like to give credit to the two left-handers."

Warne: "I think the atmosphere here from the crowd, they really get behind us and the players appreciate that. I'm really proud of those two young guys - Jadeja and Patel - and they way they handled the pressure. I was wondering whether they left it too late but they summed up the situation really well. Mumbai got a par score and they fought all the way. I'm full of praise for our side. They way Jadeja and Patel played was sensational."

The Man of the Match is Sohail Tanvir for his spell of 4 for 14 off four overs. He's got the purple cap for he's the tournament's highest wicket-taker and he's also got the best economy rate.

Well now Mumbai's chances depend on the match between Chennai and Deccan tomorrow. Delhi are through to the semi-finals with 15 points. If Chennai win tomorrow then they too will progress to the final four. However if Chennai lose to Deccan they will remain on 14 points and Mumbai will have to beat Bangalore to qualify ahead of Chennai on net run-rate.

That's it from us at Cricinfo today. Thank you for all your emails. I'll be back tomorrow for the Chennai-Deccan game. Until then, this is George Binoy signing off. Cheers.

Fernando to Patel, 2 runs

Rajasthan have won! The tension got to Mumbai and they couldn't cope! Patel tried to pull the ball and mis-timed it towards the bowler, Fernando should have stopped it but he couldn't get down in time, the ball went towards mid-on where Smith fielded and threw the ball to the bowler's end, Jadeja was struggling to make his ground but Jasyasuriya failed to collect the ball cleanly and affect the run out, amazing scenes of celebration as the Rajasthan players mob Patel

Two to win off one ball. One to tie, one for a bowl out. Tendulkar's bringing his field in.

Fernando to Patel, 1 wide

Fernando's fired a wide down leg side, can you believe it, it's very far down leg side, unbelievable scenes

Rajasthan need three off the final ball. Raje fell down in pain as he fielded the last ball and is now being attended to. Patel's on strike. The crowd stand in anticipation. Will we have a bowl out? Warne is smiling. Tendulkar is tense. So is Patel.

Fernando to Jadeja, 1 run

full ball on off stump, Jadeja chops the ball down to third man, they sprint hard for the single but they wont' get any more than that

Four to win off two balls. Tendulkar's with his bowler once again. Tension writ on his face. Jadeja on strike.

Fernando to Patel, 1 run

that's a full toss on off stump, played to point off the back foot, they steal a single, they will run for anything

Fernando to Patel, SIX runs

it's a six! Patel has cleared his front foot out of the way and lofted a full ball high over long-on for six, Fernando was looking for the block hole and didn't get the length right, Patel got under it and hit it with a lot of power

Rajasthan need 11 off four balls.

Fernando to Jadeja, 3 runs

Jadeja backs away towards leg side but Fernando follows him and cramps him for room, he gets an inside edge past the keeper and the ball runs to the boundary where Nehra sprints and dives full length to his left and saves one run, spectacular effort

Fernando to Patel, 1 run

full ball on off stump, Patel tries to hit over the leg side but gets an inside edge towards short fine leg, he was lucky it didn't hit his stumps, unlucky that it didn't beat the fielder

Rajsathan need 15 off the final over. Fernando will bowl it, watch out for slower balls and yorkers. The over-rate has been shocking.

Jadeja heaves across the line of a good length ball and mis-times it to midwicket, Raje had over-stepped so there's a free hit coming up

Raje to Jadeja, SIX runs

that's the first six of the innings! Jadeja makes room by moving towards leg and lofts a full ball inside out over cover, that's a flat hit and he's cleared the boundary with ease

Rajasthan need 34 off the final two overs.
