Leinster won by 4 wickets (with 13 balls remaining)

So a very disciplined batting performance from Leinster sees them comfortable winners of both the match and the Tournament. A great spell of spin bowling from Dockrell and Ali was backed up by quality innings of 85* and 50* from Terry and Tucker.

The Northern Knight really had no answer to the all round power of Leinster despite some good batting by Getkate and good bowling by Smith and Theron.

There are two matches left in this tournament, but the trophy is about to be presented to the Leinster Lightning team. The next match to be covered here is he Northern Knights v North West Warriors on August 7th. Please join us for that.

In the meantime it is goodbye from Leinster Cricket Club, Rathmines.
