8:25pm Right. That will be that from us for tonight. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Do join us tomorrow as the Bhilwara Kings take on the Gujarat Giants, with a place in the final at stake. Till then, stay safe, goodbye and goodnight!

Ross Taylor, Player of the Match: We get a day off, so very happy. When you are in that situation, there is only one way to play. Lot of contributions from everyone around me and good to play in the final of a legends tournament. Look forward to seeing what the wicket plays like in the final. (On the fielding) The team that fields the best will probably win. Monty wound back the clock with a great one-hander. Batting and bowling, you never lose that but fielding can be tough at times. Ashley, the way he finished things off, was great. Any time you chase down 220-230, you got to be pretty happy.

Irfan Pathan, Bhilwara Kings Captain: Chasing more than 200 is a big task. When you are chasing 200-plus score, you have to play a blinder of an innings. Taylor and Nurse played that but lot of bad bowling also. Lots of injuries as well. Best had a headache, Yusuf pulled his stomach muscle. Those on the pitch did not bowl where we wanted. It was tough for them [the new guys] to maintain. Tino is having a headache and he did not want to let his team down. I have not gone into the dressing room but I am hoping it is not too bad with Yusuf bhai.

Gautam Gambhir, India Capitals Captain: It is a graveyard for the bowlers. Chasing 227 on any track and any ground is a fantastic effort. (On catches) I can't react the way I used to react. When you have not played for a while, you can end up dropping catches. After the 10-over mark, we thought we were definitely in the game. I am not a big believer in momentum. Not at any stage we thought we will give away 227. Just one more game now, hopefully we can deliver. Two days off was one of the motivations for us, hopefully they can have that now.

Phew! That was some game. Both batting sides enjoyed themselves and there is not a lot they can be faulted for. What was crucial, though, was the lack of bowling resources the Kings had, especially once the injuries began piling up. Best could only bowl a solitary over. Neither of the Pathan brothers came on to bowl and that allowed the Capitals to pick their match-ups and dominate. Taylor was simply brilliant and he found an able ally in Nurse, who then joined forces with Plunkett to put the game well beyond the Kings. All is not lost for the Kings, though. Because of where they finished in the group stages, they will have another bite at the cherry - against the Gujarat Giants tomorrow. The Capitals, meanwhile, can put their feet up and relax until the summit clash on Wednesday

Sreesanth to Nurse, SIX runs

yes, he can! What a way to wrap it up! Back of a length delivery outside off stump that cries 'hit' me. Nurse obliges, sits back in his crease and clatters it over deep mid wicket and into next week. The Capitals reach the final, and they have deserved every bit of this win!

2 runs needed, can he finish it off this ball?

Sreesanth to Nurse, SIX runs

six, Nurse on fire! In the slot outside off stump and that is asking for trouble. Nurse clears his front leg and pounds it over wide long on for six

Sreesanth to Nurse, 2 runs

length delivery way outside off stump. Nurse has a massive slog at it and chunks it off the inner half of the bat towards long on. He calls two early and gets across comfortably

10 runs required off the final over and with Nurse and Plunkett firing on all cylinders, this seems the Capitals' game to lose. Sreesanth, though, might have other ideas

low full toss on leg stump. Plunkett gets his front foot out of the way and shanks it towards deep backward square leg for a single

They have gotten two out of the three boundaries they needed. Another six and it could be curtains for the Kings tonight

Edwards to Plunkett, FOUR runs

Yes, they are well ahead now! Short outside off stump. Plunkett rocks onto the back foot and pummels it past deep mid wicket for another boundary

16 off 9 now. Capitals slightly ahead in the game

Edwards to Plunkett, SIX runs

six more! Magnificent! Length delivery hung outside off stump but to a batter with Plunkett's wingspan, that does not matter! Opens up his stance, reaches out and creams it over long off

18.2
Edwards to Plunkett, no run

slower delivery on a back of a length outside off stump. Plunkett looks for the cute little dab but does not get any bat on it. Vital dot ball

The Capitals effectively need three or maybe boundaries from here to win the game. Can they get it?

Edwards to Plunkett, SIX runs

six, my word! In the slot outside off stump and Plunkett climbs into it! He plants his front foot and smokes it over long off for a maximum

Two overs left now. The Capitals need 28, the Kings might need Nurse's wicket to be safe. Plunkett on strike, though, and he will face Edwards

Karia to Mooney, OUT

huge appeal, and given! Full delivery darted into the batter on middle and off stump, and this one seems to continue with the arm. Mooney shuffles across looking for a lap but missing it altogether. The ball raps him in front of middle and leg stump, and the umpire, after giving it a bit of thought, raises her finger
