Berhadien, bowlers seal Titans win

A round-up of all the games played in the Momentum One Day Cup on November 3, 2013

Titans 302 for 6 (Behardien 113*, Davids 95, Wiese 54) beat Lions 226 (van der Dussen 88, van der Merwe 4-40, von Berg 4-45) by 38 runs
Scorecard
Farhaan Behardien's second List A century, along with four-wicket hauls from Roelof van der Merwe and Shaun von Berg, helped Titans beat Lions by 38 runs in Centurion. Titans were put into bat and after opener Heino Kuhn was out with the score on 22, Henry Davids and Cobus Pienaar combined for a 51-run partnership, with Pienaar contributing just 13 to the cause. Davids then joined Behardien as the pair put on 78 for the fourth wicket. Davids would fall just five short of a deserved century, while Behardien, in the company of David Wiese - who struck 54 off 42 balls - would see to it that Titans reached a sizable 302 for 6. Behardien finished unbeaten on 113.
Lions lost their opener, Stephen Cook, with the score on just 14, but Rassie van der Dussen and captain Alviro Petersen put on 81 runs for the second wicket to keep Lions in the hunt. The Lions middle order got starts but were unable to capitalise. Only Thami Tsolekile showed fight towards the end with his 33 off 40 balls. Van der Dussen would be out for 88 in the 40th over, leaving Lions too much to do as the efforts of bowlers van der Merwe and von Berg were too much for the Lions batsmen. The pair each finished with a four-wicket haul, as Titans wrapped up victory by 38 runs.
Warriors 223 for 8 (Abbott 4-44) beat Dolphins 222 by 2 wickets
Scorecard
Warriors held on to a nervy two-wicket win over Dolphins in Pietmaritzburg to go up to second place, tied on points with Cape Cobras, but behind on overall net run rate. Dolphins innings was made up primarily through the efforts of Imraan Khan (41), Vaughn van Jaarsveld (48), Khaya Zondo (38) and Daryn Smit (44). They eventually reached 222 for 9 after sustained pressure from the Warriors bowlers. Seven bowlers were used for which, apart from the opening bowler Simon Harmer, all of them took wickets.
Facing a middling chase, Warriors did not start well as they lost both the openers with the score on just 23. A couple of forties from Colin Ingram and Ryan Bailey kept them in the hunt, before Davy Jacobs anchored the innings with 35 off 65 balls, and put on an especially important partnership with Andrew Birch when Warriors were 151 for 7. The pair would add 71 together, and the partnership proved the difference as Warriors held on to a two-wicket victory. Kyle Abbott was the stand out bowler for Dolphns, taking 4 for 44.
