5.3 to WG Jacks, pace off, back of a length, flumped to mid-on! Jacks' shot-happy cameo comes to an end. It was short enough to pull but again the slower ball messed with his timing and a tame swipe ended up looping low into the hands of Chapman inside the ring. 40/1
403619.0084110
6.4 to DJ Malan, lovely loopy left-arm stuff, hits middle and off! Santner demonstrates what a canny spinner can get out of his surface by tossing one up high from over the wicket, it grips and turns past Malan's booming cover drive to rattle the poles. A duck for England's Mr Reliable in T20. No silencing of the critics tonight. 43/2
4043010.75125211
4044211.0062400
17.2 to HC Brook, advances down the ground, plinked to long-on! Brook's gone! There's an audible sigh around Old Trafford as he chips this into the hands of Finn Allen. Not mistimed many of those tonight, but this one never had the legs. Walks off with another point not-so-quietly made.... 174/3
17.4 to MM Ali, goes again, picks out deep midwicket! Sodhi gets another wicket and a measure of revenge, maybe tossed it up a little slower, a little wider. Moeen attempted to fetch the ball over the leg side again, but didn't have the distance - although Milne nearly let him off, grabbing the catch at the second attempt. 180/4

2.1 to FH Allen, back of a length, doesn't get hold of his pull! Jacks runs back at mid-on, Allen fails to pick the slower ball as he climbs across the line and gets a big top-edge. The cutter bounced more than the batter intended, so close to the splice on impact, that came out of the floodlights so a tricky take. And New Zealand's woes deepen. 8/2
2.502047.0581100
1.4 to DP Conway, flipped off the pads, and straight to deep square! Atkinson strikes in his first over, as Conway doesn't get hold of his launch to leg! Livingstone inside the rope gobbles the offering, and that's a pleasingly low-key reaction from Atkinson, shades of Jim Laker as he shrugs, claps the fielder's effort, and all but flips an imaginary jumper over his shoulder. 6/1
13.1 to TL Seifert, hits the pitch hard, launched high in the air! Seifert swings for the hills but Atkinson's heat is too hot to handle! A swirling chance to Buttler, armed with the gloves maybe but has to work for that one as the ball plummets at pace, not far from where it started. Almost done now!. 95/8
13.4 to TG Southee, walks to the off-side and thumped on the pads! Up goes the finger but Southee reviews. Outside the line? I reckon it's hitting off either way... yep! Struck in line, off pole would have gone tumbling if that back leg hadn't been in the way!. 103/9
13.5 to LH Ferguson, splat! Atkinson cleans up with England's best debut figures in T20Is! Full, fast, a low full toss maybe, but it's hot and straight, and No.11 has no answer! Ferguson goes for a wipe across the line, gets nowhere near it. Game over!. 103/10
201618.0042010
9.2 to DJ Mitchell, did that take the edge?! Sounded like it! Beauty from Carse, rising sharply from a perfect length, grazing past a vertical blade. If it wasn't bat, it must have been body. Yep, there's an inside-edge! England knew immediately - Buttler did the 'T' signal even while gathering the ball after throwing it up in celebration - and that's due reward for the best nut of the night!. 74/5
301826.0061000
6.3 to GD Phillips, full toss, thumped to Brook at long-on! Another super take too, had to be mindful of his feet, so close to the rope already and that ball was travelling hard, so he was off-balance as his hands gave to cushion the take. It was there to hit, but Phillips only managed to toe-end it... Rashid winces in celebration, as well he might. 44/3
12.6 to AF Milne, reverse sweep, ninja hands from Moeen! Milne nailed the shot, but it was too close to slip - who was only there as a result of England's dominance. Moeen just watched the ball off the blade, allowed his hands to give with the ball as it travelled hard to his right. And clung on superbly!. 95/7
10909.0011000
1016116.0012100
8.6 to MS Chapman, short and sweet from Chapman! Tossed this one up again, Chapman made room to leg again, but this time the outside edge flew straight into long-off's bread basket. Brook in business again. Good comeback in a rowdy over. 72/4
10515.0010000
11.6 to MJ Santner, Change of angle, fired through a wild swing to leg! Jacks comes round the wicket, Santner heaves with the line into his pads, but makes a mess of it, as the ball makes a mess of his stumps. Route One cricket, and this contest is ceasing to be. First T20I wicket for Jacks. 88/6
