TOTAL134.3 Ov (RR: 3.25, 599 Mins)438
Fall of wickets: 1-49 (Gautam Gambhir, 9.6 ov), 2-77 (Virender Sehwag, 14.3 ov), 3-125 (Sachin Tendulkar, 34.5 ov), 4-250 (Virat Kohli, 68.1 ov), 5-260 (Suresh Raina, 72.4 ov), 6-387 (Cheteshwar Pujara, 115.4 ov), 7-411 (MS Dhoni, 121.1 ov), 8-414 (Zaheer Khan, 124.4 ov), 9-430 (Ravichandran Ashwin, 133.1 ov), 10-438 (Umesh Yadav, 134.3 ov)
68.1 to V Kohli, Kohli falls to a poor shot! Three of the four wickets so far have been gifts. Not very different from Sehwag's dismissal, Kohli was looking to cut, the ball kicked up a bit more than he expected, he was trying to slash it over the slips but it went at a comfortable height to Guptill at second slip. 250/4
9.6 to G Gambhir, Boult strikes! Poor shot by Gambhir, Boult got this one to holds its line after getting it to move in, Gambhir attempted to dab it down to third man, not the wisest choice of shot, no foot movement and a thick edge to van Wyk. 49/1
34.5 to SR Tendulkar, Boult gets the Big Fish! Middle stump pushed back, full credit to the bowler here, it was exactly like the previous ball, landed on middle and off and nipped back in off the surface, Tendulkar was trapped at the crease and didn't have time to react as the ball skidded through and pegged back the middle stump, he crouched down after he was beaten. 125/3
124.4 to Z Khan, 136 kph, that's a very sharp catch by van Wyk! That was too good for Zaheer, in fact even a top order batsman would have been tested by that, Boult switched to over the wicket, bowled it on the channel on the off stump, Zaheer was half forward to defend but was beaten for pace slightly, thick outside edge goes towards first slip but van Wyk decides to go for it and plucks it one-handed. 414/8
14.3 to V Sehwag, Sehwag's luck runs out! Poor shot really, Bracewell bowls it short of a length and gets it to come back in, Sehwag tries to dab it away behind the wicket and gives catching practice to Guptill at second slip, neat catch though. 77/2
72.4 to SK Raina, New Zealand sneak in another! Patel bowls from round the wicket and slides it down the leg side, Raina shuffles and tries to work it with the angle down to fine leg, thin edge and van Wyk snaps it up, the keeper knew instantly, not the best ball by Patel but he'll take it. 260/5
115.4 to CA Pujara, His vigil ends at 159! End of a terrific innings, after defending Patel Pujara decided it was time to push the pedal, down the track and tried to clear long-on, miscued and he knew he didn't connect properly, Franklin back pedaled at mid-on and took it easily. 387/6
121.1 to MS Dhoni, it's another giveaway, Patel's collecting the gifts. Tossed up outside off and inviting the big shot, Dhoni was forward and looking to slam it over mid-off but he ended up hitting it flat to Bracewell at mid-off. 411/7
133.1 to R Ashwin, Patel gets the better of him, he fires that quick - 95 kph - on seeing Ashwin advance down the track, it was flat as well and Ashwin ended up yorking himself and missing it, van Wyk whips off the bails with the batsman yards out of the crease. 430/9

TOTAL61.3 Ov (RR: 2.58, 244 Mins)159
Fall of wickets: 1-25 (Brendon McCullum, 7.3 ov), 2-29 (Martin Guptill, 10.1 ov), 3-35 (Ross Taylor, 12.5 ov), 4-55 (Daniel Flynn, 18.1 ov), 5-99 (Kane Williamson, 39.3 ov), 6-111 (Kruger van Wyk, 43.4 ov), 7-141 (Doug Bracewell, 51.4 ov), 8-153 (Jeetan Patel, 57.3 ov), 9-159 (Trent Boult, 61.2 ov), 10-159 (Chris Martin, 61.3 ov)
43.4 to CFK van Wyk, 136 kph, he's given him lbw! This was pitched much shorter and the inconsistent bounce traps van Wyk, he was trapped at the crease and tried to pull, played too early and the ball dipped and hit his pads, the umpire reckoned that was hitting the off stump, the height was the question, it hit the thigh pad and pretty adjacent too. 111/6
7.3 to BB McCullum, McCullum pays the price for his aggression! Credit to Ojha there for flighting it a bit more outside off, he drew the batsman into playing a forceful shot, he was aiming to clear the covers but ended up hitting it flat to Kohli at cover. 25/1
39.3 to KS Williamson, India have managed to sneak in another! Caught at slip. Not the length to cut, it was tossed up outside off, should have stayed forward, there were to slips and a silly point in waiting, Williamson slashed and Sehwag took it easily at first slip. 99/5
51.4 to DAJ Bracewell, Dhoni makes a mess of the stumps! Ojha works on the good old fashioned virtues of flight and drift, give it a lot of air outside off, Bracewell gave the charge and was nowhere near the pitch of it, swung at thin air and Dhoni broke the stumps. 141/7
10.1 to MJ Guptill, the bowling changes sure are paying off! And Ashwin's got the in-form Guptill, tossed up on middle and leg, Guptill was forward to defend, inside edge brushes the pad and goes to Kohli at backward short leg. 29/2
12.5 to LRPL Taylor, Appeal for a catch at backward short leg! It's Kohli again. The ball turned and Taylor was trying to tuck it away to the leg side, there was certainly bat on it and all the Indians were confident it was taken cleanly, the umpires are checking, the third umpire has to study a few replays, not very straightforward I can assure you, and he has given it out. It took a few replays. It appeared as if Kohli had his fingers underneath it all along. 35/3
18.1 to DR Flynn, NZ slip further against the spinners! Flynn was looking positive and had employed the sweep with some success against Ojah, he tried the same against Ashwin, tried to sweep him from the off stump from round the wicket, the umpire reckoned that hadn't spun enough and hence was hitting off stump, he was struck on the base of the pad. 55/4
57.3 to JS Patel, appeal for a caught and bowled! Patel's sticking around because it was a very low catch to his left on the dive, it was bowled a touch wide outside off and Patel reached out for an expansive off drive, ended up spooning it to Ashwin's left, he just managed to get his fingers underneath it, the umpires consulted and the third umpire looked at a few replays, clean catch in the end. 153/8
61.2 to TA Boult, Ashwin takes five! Bat-pad catch, tossed up on middle stump, Boult tries to work it away past the packed cordon on the on side, inside edge to the pads and Gambhir plucks it at forward short leg. 159/9
61.3 to CS Martin, well that was quick, that's a six-for for Ashwin and at the stroke of lunch, bowls it a touch flatter on the off stump, Martin was prodding forward and never looked like getting his bat behind the line, spun back in and hits his stumps. 159/10

TOTAL79.5 Ov (RR: 2.05, 309 Mins)164
Fall of wickets: 1-26 (Martin Guptill, 14.3 ov), 2-98 (Brendon McCullum, 45.1 ov), 3-105 (Ross Taylor, 48.3 ov), 4-138 (Kane Williamson, 64.2 ov), 5-142 (Daniel Flynn, 67.2 ov), 6-145 (James Franklin, 69.6 ov), 7-148 (Doug Bracewell, 74.6 ov), 8-160 (Kruger van Wyk, 77.2 ov), 9-164 (Trent Boult, 79.2 ov), 10-164 (Chris Martin, 79.5 ov)
14.3 to MJ Guptill, when you pad up in front of the stumps you're asking for trouble! But I'm not 100% sure that was hitting though, Guptill thrust his pad forward to a fuller delivery and padded it away, they were up in appeal, may have grazed the off stump, Gould was convinced, need to see more replays, the ball spun away slightly but the jury's still out whether that was hitting or not. 26/1
64.2 to KS Williamson, gone, Ojha needs just two balls to strike, Williamson's vigil is over, that was a terrific delivery from Ojha, that drifts in towards the stumps and then spins away, bounce as well, Williamson pokes at it and a thick edge carries through to the waiting Sehwag at first slip, lovely to see the trajectory of that ball, a spinner's delight. 138/4
74.6 to DAJ Bracewell, there's the wicket, Ojha has been piling on the pressure here, again Ojha flights it and gets it to spin away, outside edge towards gully, Kohli dives low to pick that up and another sharp bit of fielding gets India a breakthrough. 148/7
45.1 to BB McCullum, Umesh has done it, he has ended the stubborn stand, an inside-edge that the umpire Steve Davis has missed, that was tailing in towards off and middle, McCullum looked to defend but edges it on to the pads, huge appeal and the umpire raises the finger, McCullum is furious, shaking his head as he walks off, tosses the bat from one hand to the other, bring on the DRS comments!. 98/2
48.3 to LRPL Taylor, New Zealand in big trouble now, no DRS doubts over this one, Taylor makes a poor poor decision to leave a delivery from Ashwin, it spins in sharply and takes the top of the off stump, not a replay Taylor will want to see, Ashwin gave that one plenty of air, and got the ball to rip off the track. 105/3
67.2 to DR Flynn, Flynn goes for the sweep, Flynn gone lbw, no doubts about that one, flighted and that one sneaks under Flynn's bat, hit low on the pad in front of middle and off, Ashwin knew that was gone even as he started to appeal, the umpire agrees, India five wickets away now. 142/5
69.6 to JEC Franklin, sensational catch from Sehwag, terrific delivery from Ashwin to start with, that spun away after drifting in, plenty of bounce as well, too good for Franklin, who nibbles it through, a faint edge past Dhoni, Sehwag launches himself to the right to pluck a low one-handed effort. 145/6
77.2 to CFK van Wyk, ten in the game for Ashwin, he loves his home Tests, the carrom ball from Ashwin foxes van Wyk, who went for the reverse-sweep, a shot he used extensively against Narine in the Caribbean, he misses and is struck on the thigh pad, he's gone lbw. 160/8
79.2 to TA Boult, Ashwin finding it all too easy here, Sehwag making slip catching looking easy here as well, he had a shocking time at slip in the recent Sri Lanka series, Ashwin sends in a topspinner, Boult plays down the wrong line, edges it through to slip, Sehwag has to bend low to his right to collect that, makes it seem casual. 138 for 3 to 164 for 9. 164/9
79.5 to CS Martin, it's all over, Martin's legendary batting record continues, a pair for him, Ashwin gets his second six-for of the match, this one struck Martin low on the pads in front of the stumps, not too much doubt there, the carrom ball struck him on the back leg, in front of middle and off, a comprehensive win sealed for India. 164/10
