Kieron Pollard's belligerent onslaught put the game to bed and that glimmer of hope to sneak back into the game after that timeout faded as Pollard hit Waqar Salamkheil for 27 in the 15th over! The game was done and dusted there. Solid contributions from everyone, Akhlaq raced to 24, Vince remained unbeaten on 38, Malik made a run-a-ball 29, and then it was the Pollard show that sealed the game. With not many runs to defend, Peshawar's only hope to stay alive was to pick wickets at regular intervals but that didn't happen. Tall young pacer Mohammad Zeeshan had a tough day at the office, conceding 48 in his spell while I've already written enough about the brutal treatment Salamkheil received towards the end. It could have been a different ball game if he was still there. It was a fresh pitch and the first over was two-paced but then it was normal and the pitch behaved the way it usually does here.
