Bengal 7 for 3

All three have been lbws. Auqib Nabi has his second, as Abhimanyu Easwaran also departs after J&K review successfully. Bengal 7 for 3, and in deep trouble. The lead is just 33. They need their senior pro Anustup Majumdar to stand up.

Bengal lose two wickets, reviews

It's left-arm seamer Sunil Kumar who nabs a wicket after Nabi. Sunil also strikes in his first over, getting one to swing into Sudip Kumar Gharami, and trapping him in front. Bengal burn another review - now they have only one left - as Gharami also goes without scoring. Bengal 4 for 2 in 1.4 overs, leading by 30.

Nabi strikes in first over

Going around the wicket to Sudip Chatterjee, Auqib Nabi angles one in and bowls on a length outside off on the fourth ball. Chatterjee is squared up, and is struck on his pads. A review can't save him, and it's a first-ball duck for Chatterjee, who bags a pair in the match. Bengal 1 for 1 in 0.4 overs. The lead is 27.

Shami 8 for 90; Bengal 26 ahead

Mohammed Shami finishes with 8 for 90. That's his career-best first-class figures. He ends J&K's innings by cleaning up Auqib Nabi, who threatened to take his side into the lead. But J&K are 302 all out, with Bengal taking a 26-run first-innings lead. That is also lunch in Kalyani.

Karnataka bowled out - finally!

736 Karnataka's second-highest first-class total. They bat for 194.4 overs against Uttarakhand, including the first two days of the match.
Karnataka's highest remains the 762 they got in the 2014-15 Ranji final, with KL Rahul, Karun Nair and Shreyas Gopal the common players in both sides.
Against Uttarakhand on Tuesday, Vidyadhar Patil is the last man out - for 54 off 114 balls. That comes after Devdutt Padikkal (232), KL Rahul (141) and R Smaran (135) scored centuries, while Karun Nair and Kruthik Krishna both scored 60.

Nabi, Yudhvir frustrate Bengal

Their partnership is now 50. After bagging 5 for 87 with the ball, Auqib Nabi arrived with aggressive intent with the bat, swinging it around for early boundaries. One of them came via an outside edge, but others have all been clean hits. Yudhvir Singh is giving Nabi perfect company in chipping away for J&K, as they score handy runs for the ninth wicket. J&K 281 for 8 in 68.1 overs, trailing by 47 runs.

Smaran falls on 135

Facing left-arm spinner Mayank Mishra from around the wicket, R Smaran decides to skip down the pitch. But the angle is taking the ball away from him, and he misses this short-of-a-length ball around sixth stump after looking to play forward. Karnataka 717 for 7 in 187.1 overs.

Five-star Shami!

15 Mohammed Shami has his 15th first-class five-for. He celebrates it by punching the air.
Shami goes from over the wicket to Kanhaiya Wadhawan, and bowls on a fullish length around seventh stump. Wadhawan drives away from his body, and ends up edging behind to the keeper. J&K 222 for 7 in 58.3 overs, trailing by 106 runs.

Karnataka keep batting

Are they aiming for the stars? Karnataka continue batting from 689 for 6, with R Smaran resuming on 121*. How much more, though? It'll be safe to say they have already batted Uttarakhand out of the match.

Shami's fourth wicket!

Mohammed Shami breaks what looked like a threatening stand. Bowling his first over of day three, he goes around the wicket to Abid Mushtaq. The ball is on a short of a length, and angled into a fifth-stump line. It stays low, and Mushtaq opens the face of the bat to jab it to a wide-ish first slip. J&K 205 for 6 in 53 overs, trailing by 123 runs.

Day 3: Who'll take the lead?

Mukesh Kumar starts day three against J&K, and is hit for a boundary by Abid Mushtaq in the first over of the day. The first over goes for six runs. Mushtaq and Kanhaiya Wadhawan key for J&K, while Bengal will hope Mohammed Shami, Mukesh and Akash Deep hit back. J&K 204 for 5 in 52 overs, trailing by 124 runs.
