1.3 to HD Rutherford, thumped up and over the covers, but he doesn't get hold of it, and Hales back-pedals to stretch into a fine high take! Spin in the Powerplay pays dividends!. 10/1 4.1 to MM Ali, a slog across the line and Moeen has been castled! A collective groan goes round Edgbaston ... no matter your affiliation, I think the crowd were enjoying that onslaught!. 40/2 13.1 to BL D'Oliveira, back comes the spinner, out comes an ugly mow from D'Oliveira, and he misses everything as the ball smashes his leg stumo! This innings is getting messy now.... 91/6
4 | 0 | 27 | 2 | 6.75 | 11 | 0 | 2 | 4 | 0 | |
19.3 to RA Whiteley, smashed off a good length, high to deep midwicket! Gurney managed to avoid that arc with the slower ball, and it's taken well, tumbling to the deck to cushion the impact. 140/8 19.5 to DKH Mitchell, can't get hold of this one though... Another slower ball, another swipe. Christian plucks the offering at extra cover. 146/9

9.5 to WD Parnell, cuffed high into the covers! Similar line, but a less effective shot. More outside edge on the stroke as the slower ball pays dividends. A good running catch from Christian, over his shoulder. 76/3 12.3 to MH Wessels, another timely breakthrough! Back go the stumps, pace off the ball, a slog-sweep across the line, and a thin deflection into the stumps. The champions are tottering!. 89/5
1 | 0 | 4 | 1 | 4.00 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
10.3 to OB Cox, width, and snags the outside edge! That's a big breakthrough .... it was a nothing ball, but Cox couldn't capitalise. He barely reached it as he under-edged through to the keeper. Last year's hero goes cheaply!. 78/4 |

13.2 to AD Hales, edged and gone! Crucial from Moeen, he decided it was worth bowling himself out now to force the breakthrough, and he's bagged the big one. A thin snick, well gathered by Cox behind the stumps. 100/2

18.1 to DT Christian, slower ball, right in the slot, and scudded to Moeen at mid-off! That's a brilliant take, it was onto him so quickly, and he had to time his leap and take it in one hand in the end. The perfect start to the over for Worcestershire!. 137/3 18.4 to TJ Moores, a huge swipe for glory... and he's holed out to long-on! Oh my ... he didn't want the jeopardy of a final-over target, finish it here and now... but no ... he utterly nailed the shot, power-wise, but straight up in the air!. 139/4

5.4 to CD Nash, slog-swept straight to square leg! A foot either side and that was four, but all Mitchell had to do was stoop to conquer! A vital breakthrough. 51/1
