---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Jerome Taylor | 10 | 1 | 59 | 3 | 5.90 | 30 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 |
43.6 to OA Shah, slog-sweep off a fast bowler, and he doesn't quite get enough on it, it was wide outside off, so he had to drag it, and perhaps that's why didn't get enough to clear deep midwicket. There was a century in sight, but well played Owais. 278/3 45.3 to MJ Prior, Prior slogs, misses, and Taylor hits. Simple dismissal. Full and straight, and another England batsman misses out on a hundred. In fact he gets out on the Aussie devil's number. 289/5 47.4 to PD Collingwood, finally Taylor goes full and straight, Collingwood makes room, tries a hard hit, misses, the leg stump is out of the ground. Makes you wonder why he has been trying those limp bouncers. 308/6 | ||||||||||
Ravi Rampaul | 4 | 0 | 29 | 0 | 7.25 | 15 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 0 |
Fidel Edwards | 6 | 0 | 43 | 0 | 7.16 | 16 | 6 | 0 | 1 | 0 |
Dwayne Bravo | 6 | 0 | 43 | 1 | 7.16 | 12 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 0 |
14.6 to RS Bopara, he misses the 50, lack of pace does him in, it's back of a length, outside off, moving in, he is too early into his forward defensive, gets a bottom edge onto the pad, and the ball rolls through to the stumps. 81/1 | ||||||||||
Sulieman Benn | 10 | 0 | 51 | 1 | 5.10 | 24 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
23.3 to AJ Strauss, strange stumping, beats him with a straighter ball outside off, extra bounce, Ramdin takes a lot of time to bring it back and remove the bail, but Strauss's foot is stuck on the line, he didn't seem to know he had dragged it onto the line, good bowling to start it off though. 129/2 | ||||||||||
Chris Gayle | 5 | 0 | 31 | 0 | 6.20 | 7 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Kieron Pollard | 9 | 0 | 63 | 2 | 7.00 | 16 | 5 | 0 | 1 | 0 |
44.2 to AD Mascarenhas, gone first ball, carries with him the IPL golden-duck flu, length ball, on off stump, is way too early into the shot, and an easy catch for Pollard, maybe he was surprised by the slowness of the pitch, but after 40 overs of watching should have known better. 279/4 48.5 to TT Bresnan, slower ball, Bresnan is early into this lofted shot, and holes out to long-on, the offcutter does the trick. 317/7 |

Stuart Broad | 10 | 0 | 63 | 2 | 6.30 | 32 | 8 | 1 | 2 | 0 |
2.2 to CH Gayle, soft, really soft, he has been waiting for anything short, but this one is on the stumps, he goes for the pull, hits him high on the bat, and a dolly offered to Bopara at mid-on. 13/1 37.4 to S Chanderpaul, and immediately he goes, full, outside off, he drags it from there, goes to beat midwicket, and gives Bopara a sitter. Chanderpaul had to work hard for his runs, but not enough intent in his innings, one feels. 181/5 | ||||||||||
James Anderson | 9.4 | 0 | 58 | 3 | 6.00 | 26 | 6 | 0 | 2 | 0 |
3.1 to RR Sarwan, lovely catch from Strauss, length ball, outside off, Sarwan goes for the drive, stops a bit, flying to the left of cover, and Strauss sticks out his left hand, and takes it cleanly. 22/2 38.4 to D Ramdin, game, set, match, slower bouncer, cuts in, Ramdin cuts hard, gets a thick edge, Prior takes it one-handed. 189/6 49.4 to SJ Benn, yorker, middle stump, bowled, thanks for coming West Indies. But maybe not, the way they have played through both the Test and ODI series. 270/10 | ||||||||||
Dimitri Mascarenhas | 7 | 0 | 43 | 0 | 6.14 | 23 | 4 | 2 | 0 | 0 |
Tim Bresnan | 10 | 0 | 36 | 1 | 3.60 | 35 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 0 |
22.1 to DJ Bravo, and gets Bravo with the second, big big wicket. Back of a length, jagging in from outside off, Bravo steps across, misses, is hit in front of middle and leg (more leg than middle), is given, seeming to go down the leg side. 99/4 | ||||||||||
Graeme Swann | 8 | 0 | 38 | 1 | 4.75 | 23 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
46.5 to R Rampaul, tries one shot too many, makes room, looks to go inside out out, Swann fires it straight, gets the middle stump. 254/9 | ||||||||||
Paul Collingwood | 5 | 0 | 28 | 0 | 5.60 | 9 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
