and that's the win. A length ball around off. Rodrigues opens the face of the bat to run it fine. Short third puts in the chase but the ball beats her to the boundary line. But since the batters had completed the run before the ball reached the boundary line, it will be counted only one

Shadow-Shell: "Stage is set for Nepal(W) to emulate what USA(M) did at the Men's T20I WC"
Harmanpreet Kaur: Our bowlers and openers did the job. The first game is always a pressure game that sets the tone. Our entire unit played really well. When we were bowling, we were talking about early breakthroughs. With the bat, credit goes to Smriti and Shafali. We want to keep playing fearless cricket.
Deepti Sharma is the Player of the Match: I am feeling really good as I could deliver as per the plan. I had the belief. As a unit, we are doing well for the last few months. The camps we have had helped a lot. I worked on my bowling after the South Africa series, so that helped. Nida Dar is a good batter, so her wicket was important.
Nida Dar: The difference was the powerplays; we lost both. The bowlers did well towards the end, though. We are confident of bouncing back.
9.38pm A comfortable win for India, by seven wickets and 35 ball remaining. It was set up by their bowlers, who bowled out Pakistan to 108. Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana then added 85 off just 57 balls to reduce the chase to a formality. Both found boundaries with ridiculous ease as the Pakistan bowlers erred in both line and length. The result means the match between Nepal, who beat UAE earlier, and Pakistan could be a big one.
