All over! Short again and pulled, its the top-edge that seals the win. Over BT's head and four.
Zim XI vs Bdesh XI, 4th Match at Harare, Jun 21 2012 - Match Result
Bdesh XI won by 6 wickets (with 15 balls remaining)
Post Match Presentation:
Brendan Taylor: We're just off the boil today. Lost too many wickets when we were batting. It was hard to come back from that. Coming in with good spinners like Bangladesh do have, its never going to be easy and the middle order didnt have the match time in the middle. We just missed everything, they deserved the win. They were more up for it than us. We really tried to gear ourselves up today but we knew they would bounce back. We've got some important cricket to play on Saturday.
Mushfiqur Rahim: We needed to focus on our process. The bowlers did a great job. We had belief that we could get wickets. In the last game we did well with the ball but, if we want to win we have to do well in three departments.
MOM Mashrafe Mortaza: It's a bit slow, Bangladesh is slower than here. I had to use my variations. For the last two games I've struggled with my areas but today I found it. I am the senior bowler, so I have to bowl well.
Bangladesh have kept themselves alive in this competition. It started with their good performance with the ball, where they pulled Zimbabwe back after a good start. Zimbabwe posted a below-par score and could not defend it. Perhaps still a bit stunned after beating South Africa yesterday. Bangladesh's batsmen recovered from early wobbles, Nasir Hossain had a great opportunity to show his potential and took it. That's it for today, we'll be back tomorrow for the fifth match between South Africa and Bangladesh. If you're in South Africa, keep warm. Cheers for now.
short and pulled beautifully, such strength in that shot, flies to fine leg
dropped: Chigs bowls a full ball, driven in the air to deep cover, Masakadza makes his ground but lets it slip when he gets there. That's how Zimbabwe's day has gone
This could be the last over. Seven to get for Bangladesh. Chigs to bowl now.
not the best showing from Bobby at all. Short, wide, four. Simple as that.
fired in at the base of the stumps, lofted over Masakadza at mid-wicket and Bangladesh are getting there
shorter, straighter and still there's a four! Nasir Hossain hooks it almost off the head and somehow thats in the gap and four
short and wide and cut away for four, that ball deserved it
turned off the hips to deep backward square
Zimbabwe getting a little lazy now, pulled and it finds square leg, where there's no fielder. BT runs around, two others close in and they let through two
Mahmdullah backs away to the leg side and Muzhange follows him, bangs the ball in at the base of legstump
Muzhange's getting full but he can't stop the runs and there's another brace
and Bangladesh surely have the advantage now. Full, but sliding down leg and fine leg is up, so once passed him, that's four and four it is
not spot on, full but down leg side and that's gone very fine, fine enough to beat Mpofu
Here's My Yorker, Rich Muzhange
full on the pads and worked along the ground to deep backward square, there's a man out there but they get a couple. Definitely Bangladesh's game to lose
goes fuller this time and scooped out to long-on
he can't do it every ball, too short from Jarvis and Mahmudullah is on it in a flash, Pulled away powerfully and its over the rope
that is a superb ball. In the blockhole and there is nothing Mahmudullah can do with that except nod in approval
full again, driven to mid-on, Jarvis seems to want another fielder on the leg-side but BT is not budging
