2 Number of 200-plus partnerships during Pakistan's first innings. Younis Khan and Azhar Ali shared a 250-run stand for the third wicket, while Azhar and Asad Shafiq put on 207 runs for the fifth. There has been only one previous occasion where Pakistan's batsmen have posted two 200-plus stands in the same Test innings - against India in 1983.
4 Instances since December 2011 of three or more Pakistan batsmen scoring hundreds in the same innings of a Test match. There were only five such instances in the 22 years prior to that, going as far back as December 1989.
52.8 Azhar's strike-rate during his innings of 226 off 428 balls, the third lowest off the 22 double-hundreds that have been scored against Bangladesh. The lowest strike rate is 47.3, during Jason Gillespie's unbeaten 201 off 425 balls in Chittagong in 2006.
20 Pakistan batsmen who have scored a double-hundred in Tests - Azhar Ali became the 20th by scoring his maiden double-hundred. Pakistan now have exactly as many double-centurions as India. The only countries with more double centurions are West Indies (27), England (34) and Australia (34).
51 Overs bowled by Taijul Islam in the first innings, the tenth instance of a Bangladesh bowler bowling more than 50 overs in an innings. Interestingly, nine of these 10 instances have involved left-arm spinners.
7 Times Shakib Al Hasan has bowled 30-plus overs in a Test innings and taken not more than one wicket. He returned figures of 1 for 136 from 30 overs during the first innings. The are 14 other instances when Shakib has bowled 30-plus overs and he has picked up a five-wicket haul on seven of those occasions, and at least two wickets in the remaining seven innings.
1 Pakistan have lost a Test match only once after declaring their first innings for a 500-plus score - against Australia in Melbourne in 1973. There have been 27 other instances when Pakistan declared their first innings for a 500-plus score. They won 14 of those matches and drew the remaining 13.
