The Australian Cricket Board today welcomed the decision by the ICC to hold an emergency meeting of the Executive Board in England on 2 and 3 May, 2000.
ACB Chief Executive, Malcolm Speed, confirmed that Board Chairman, Mr Denis Rogers, would attend the meeting on behalf of Australia and said that the meeting is a positive move by the ICC.
"The allegations that have emerged in South Africa and India concerning corruption in cricket need a strong response from the international cricket community. This action by the ICC is a welcome initiative that will provide a valuable forum in which to address these issues," said Speed.
