Annual General Meeting 2001 / 2002

Further to the announcement of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka that the Annual General Meeting 2001/2002 will be held on the 11th January 2001 due to the following;

The Executive Committee of the BCCSL was unanimous in their decision and were in a position to advance the date of the AGM, as all planning, preparations and arrangements for these events were already underway.

The Hon. Lakshman Kirielle Minister Tourism and Sports invited the President and Executive Committee of the BCCSL to a discussion to review this subject. The Minister understood the circumstances that necessitated this decision. However, the Minister exercised the powers vested in him and requested the current Executive Committee to successfully accomplish these tasks and to conduct the AGM and Election of Office Bearers for 2001/2002 after these events on any day between the 15th April and 15th May 2001.

The Executive Committee of the BCCSL has acceded to the minister's request and will meet on Friday the 15th December 2000 to fix a suitable date for the Annual General Meeting.
