Pakistan have flattered to deceive in the one-day series and now that the series is over as a contest, it's tempting to believe they will win the final match on Sunday. But Australia are a ruthless lot and they will be eyeing a 4-1 victory.
Of course, with the series in the bag, the Aussies could easily take their foot off the gas and allow Pakistan to dominate the match, with their hearts and minds naturally elsewhere. They leave for England soon and winning the Ashes remains their main aim of the year.
But there is enough competition for places that many of them still have points to prove so don't be surprised if they perform well in the final match, while it is really anyone's guess as to how Pakistan play.
They have got themselves into good positions in most of the games but won just one of them. They are a side in transition, that's true, but they should be capable of better. Bet365 make them 11/8 to win the match, with Australia favourites at 4/7.
Captain Younis Khan, who has largely disappointed with the bat in the series to date, is nevertheless 7/2 favourite to top-score for Pakistan, with Salman Butt next at 4/1. Shoaib Malik and Ahmed Shahzad are both 9/2, with Misbal-ul-Haq a 5/1 chance and the dangerous but erratic Shahid Afridi 13/2.
For the Aussies, captain Michael Clarke is 3/1 favourite after his brilliant century of the last match. Brad Haddin and Shane Watson are both 4/1 while Andrew Symonds is 11/2, with Marcus North 6/1.
I just can't see Pakistan putting their game together long enough to win this one, so the 4/7 on another Australia win, even with the result of the series already in the bag, looks the price to take.
