Sri Lanka saved their best until last as they hammered South Africa by 76 runs in Hobart on Tuesday to set up a VB Series final against Australia. And though the hosts will be favourites for the best-of-three match final, they will not be taking Sri Lanka lightly.
Having already lost to Sri Lanka once in the group stages, Australia know what they are up against, but they will be without the services of Glenn McGrath, who is taking time out to be with his wife Jane, who has been diagnosed with cancer.
The Aussies, will, of course, be big favourites, particularly in a three-game final, and they beat Sri Lanka in Adelaide - venue for the first match on Friday - in the group stages.
In all, they have won 24 of the 33 one-day matches they have played at the Adelaide Oval, and won six out of six against Sri Lanka on the ground.
We will have a full preview of the first match as soon as bet365 release their prices.
