Australian Cricket Board (ACB) Chief Executive Officer James Sutherland today announced that the National Selection Panel (NSP) has chosen the following side to represent Australia A in the three-day match against an England XI at Bellerive Oval, Hobart, starting on Friday 15 November.

Upon naming the side, Chairman of the NSP Trevor Hohns said:
"We have chosen some younger players combined with a couple of experienced ones that we would like to have another look at.
"We have seen a lot of the likes of Michael Bevan and Stuart MacGill and they are very good players, but we would like to take this opportunity to look at others.
"In regards to batting, players like Andrew Symonds, Simon Katich and Brad Hodge, amongst others, were all spoken about because there was plenty of batting to sift through.
"But this is the line-up we have come to and we feel that these players deserve their chance.
"We feel that Brad Haddin has progressed sufficiently to warrant his selection as `keeper."
