Australia Post hits a six with Cricket Stamps

Australia Post is celebrating the success of the Australian cricket team by producing a Souvenir Stamp sheet, featuring the team in action and highlights from great Australian cricket victories.

The stamp sheet features moments including the Australian team celebrating their recent one-day series win against the West Indies and highlights from 2003's Top End Tour. The sheet features Cricket Australia's new corporate branding on stamp tabs and includes 10 x 50c Australian stamps.

According to Australia Post Philatelic Manager, Amber McDougall Australia Post sees the sheet as a fitting tribute to the success of Australia's cricketers.

"Australia Post is delighted to celebrate the success of the Australian Cricket team and encourage the exposure of the new cricket brand," Ms McDougall said.

"The souvenir stamps make a fantastic collectable for Australian sporting fans, and will also be available to overseas cricket fans via mail order on the Internet.
