Since adopting all the recommendations of the O?Regan Inquiry on 24 February 1999, the ACB has established a comprehensive and pro-active process to work against corruption in cricket.
The ACB?s education and regulation system in this area currently includes:
  • induction sessions for Australian Under 19 players;
  • induction sessions for all senior Australian players;
  • a code of conduct agreed to by the players dealing specifically with the issue;
  • specific obligations under players? contracts;
  • regular briefing sessions from the administration to the team;
  • mandatory reporting of any suspicious event; and
  • regular compulsory reports from Team Management dealing specifically with this issue.
Following the special ICC Executive Board meeting, the ACB has added five new components to its current system. These are:
  • the appointment an independent ACB special investigator;
  • to adopt the stringent ICC penalties;
  • to initiate a major sports gambling round table;
  • to expand current education program; and
  • to have players and officials sign written undertakings before each series.
