West Indies beat Australia in their opening group match of the ICC Champions Trophy a couple of weeks ago but when the two sides meet in the final on Sunday it is the world champions who are 1/3 (1.33) to win it, while West Indies, the holders, are 9/4 (3.25).
Australia are the worthy favourites with the better side on paper, not to mention the fact that they have won the past two World Cups.
But the way West Indies did not panic when faced with a total of more than 250 in the semi-final, cruising to victory by four wickets, at least bodes well for their chances of making it two out of two over the Aussies.
Of course, Australia have the pedigree that makes them the likelier winners and they have a huge edge over West Indies in recent years but if Brian Lara's side can keep their heads then Sunday's final could be a lot closer than people would expect.
