Berry racing against time to be fit for final

Victoria's build-up to Friday's Pura Cup cricket final against Queensland at the Gabba gets underway today with all eyes on wicketkeeper Darren Berry.

Berry missed yesterday's draw against Western Australia with a shoulder injury and is battling to be fit for Friday's final.

Victorian skipper Paul Reiffel says Berry will have a fitness test sometime during the week but the gloveman is confident of being picked for the final.

The Bushrangers will be aiming for their first title in 10 years but face going to Brisbane for the final for the second successive year.

Reiffel believes the experience of last year's defeat will make his side better prepared this time around.
