Beware wounded Australia

England may have been impressive in the first one-dayer against Australia but there are few things more dangerous than wounded Aussies so you can bet your bottom dollar, pound or whatever you have that they will come out fighting in Cardiff on Thursday.

England have transformed from a rubbish one-day side into one that is beginning to look rather good. It's a remarkable change but one that will still suffer a few hiccups along the way, so it would be no surprise should the Australians level the series.

Nevertheless, England are even money to win the second match, with Australia narrow favourites at 4/5.

England have now won their past six one-dayers - an amazing record for them - and they are likely to keep the same XI for the second match in Cardiff. No point changing a winning side unless you have to, through injuries or illness.

Kevin Pietersen is favourite again to be England's top runscorer, at 10/3, with Craig Kieswetter and captain Andrew Strauss both 7/2. Morgan, the hero of match one, is 4/1, with Paul Collingwood 11/2 and Ian Bell a 6/1 chance.

Ponting is the 3/1 favourite to be top runscorer for Australia, while Shane Watson is 10/3, Shaun Marsh 4/1 and Tim Paine 9/2. It's 5/1 that Michael Clarke comes out on top, while Michael Hussey and Cameron White are both 6/1.
