Bryan Hemshall passes away

The HKCA is sad to report the news that former Hong Kong Cricket Association Chairman and Hong Kong Cricket Club Captain of Cricket and HKCC Honorary Life Member, Bryan Hemshall has passed away.

The Hong Kong Cricket Association is sad to report the news that former HKCA Chairman and former Hong Kong Cricket Club Captain of Cricket and HKCC Honorary Life Member, Bryan Hemshall passed away on the evening of Tuesday, 28th. December in Hong Kong.
Bryan was formerly a Senior Colonial Civil Servant serving with the Independent Commission Against Corruption. In cricket, he was a much respected senior member of the HKCA Executive Committee, serving as Chairman. He also served as the Hong Kong Team Manager for at numerous ICC competitions during the 1970's and 80's and he also represented the HKCA at a number of ICC meetings before 1990. At HKCC he was a much respected, astute and popular Captain of the HKCC Wanderers (achieving the 'Double' in 1987/88) and of Centaurs, as well as being a dedicated HKCC Member of the General Committee.
A funeral service for Bryan will be conducted at St. John's Cathedral at 4:30PM on Tuesday, 4th January 2011 followed by a gathering to celebrate his life at the HKCC from 6:00PM in the Clubhouse the same day - where all of Bryan's friends will be made most welcome.
Condolences are expressed to Bryan's family - Jacky, Nicky and Keith and to his grandchildren Robbie, Samuel, Ben, Mia, Lucas, Marc and Elena.
