Sentiment is always a dangerous thing when it comes to betting but Sri Lanka could just be inspired by the impending retirement of Sanath Jayasuriya when the second and final Test against Pakistan begins in Kandy on Monday.
The former skipper steps down from the Test arena after the match and though he will play on in one-day internationals - his decision has prompted many of the Sri Lanka management to say "let's win this one for Sanath".
The home side - who haven't beaten Pakistan in a series for 20 years, are 11/4 (3.75) to win the match and take the series 1-0 after the drawn first Test. Pakistan, on paper the better team, are 13/10 (2.30) while the draw is a 6/4 (2.50) chance.
Sri Lanka's record at Kandy is not great - five wins and eight losses in 18 Tests there, but they have only lost one of the past five there, and that was to Australia.
They have lost twice to Pakistan there, but the last one was in 1994 and they are a vastly different, and improved side now. Moreover, they had the edge in the first Test and Pakistan needed to bat out four sessions to survive.
Bet365 are not going overboard on Jayasuriya's chances of top-scoring in the first innings, making him 4/1 (5.00) joint second favourite. Mahela Jayawardene shares second favouritism, behind Kumar Sangakkara, who has been the side's outstanding batsman over the past six months. Sangakkara is 3/1 (5.00).
Upul Tharanga is 5/1 (6.00), while Tillekeratne Dilshan is 11/2 (6.50).
For Pakistan, skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq, Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf are all 4/1 (5.00) joint favourites as bet365 struggle to pick one above another.Shoaib Malik is 9/2 (5.50) and Salma Butt is 5/1 (6.00).
