Cook putting pressure on Pietersen

Kevin Pietersen may be the 1/5 (1.20) favourite to finish as England's top runscorer in the series against West Indies but Alastair Cook is breathing down his neck and a big innings in the final Test at Chester-le-Street could turn things around

Kevin Pietersen may be the 1/5 (1.20) favourite to finish as England's top runscorer in the series against West Indies but Alastair Cook is breathing down his neck and a big innings in the final Test at Chester-le-Street could turn things around.
Pietersen still leads Cook by 60 runs, but that is down from 149 before the third Test, so a similar pattern again would see the opener pip Pietersen for top batsman honours.
That said, Pietersen is obviously capable of another big innings himself but bet365 are taking a slight risk in making Cook as big as 7/2 to come out on top, particularly as there is a chance he will bat twice whereas Pietersen may not get the same time at the crease.
Outside of those two, there is a massive gap to Matt Prior, and the odds of 25/1 for him to come through are suitably long at 33-1.
