Kenya unveil 'contagious' logo

Cricket Kenya has launched a new logo and identity for the organisation to "reflect a new era for the sport in the country" according to board chief executive Tom Sears.

"The new identity retains all the heritage and core elements of the previous logo but is a more dynamic and modern image mirroring the organisation's approach to the challenges that lie ahead," waxed Sears. "The new logo will feature on all national team's playing uniforms and will be first seen worn by the Kenya Women's team in the Pepsi ICC Africa qualifying event for the women's World Cup being staged in Nairobi later this month.

"We are delighted with the new look and feel it represents Cricket Kenya strongly. The feedback we have had so far has been excellent.'

The design was done by a Delhi-based company who were briefed to create something "contagious".
