At a meeting of the Executive Committee held at the BCCSL Headquarters on the 14th November 2000, it was decided that the Chief Executive - Dammika Ranatunga should be relieved of his duties pending the completion of a preliminary investigation.
Mr. Anura Tennakoon - the Cricket Operations Manager for the Board has been appointed acting Chief Executive to ensure the smooth day to day operations of the Board.
