Sri Lanka and the West Indies are holding media conferences today at the Cricket Club of India, Mumbai. The Sri Lankan team's conference will take place at 1600 local time at the badminton facility in CCI with the West Indies on immediately afterwards at 1630 at the same venue.
Both the West Indies and Sri Lanka have already qualified for the second round of the ICC Champions Trophy after both sides defeated Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, but tomorrow's match will determine where they finish in the preliminary round group. The winners of the match will top the group and go into Group B, facing South Africa, New Zealand and Pakistan while the losers will finish second and move into Group A against Australia, India and England.
Bangladesh and Zimbabwe go head-to-head in Jaipur today with both sides searching for their first wins of the tournament.
Meanwhile, the collection of media accreditation ahead of Mumbai's opening match in the ICC Champions Trophy 2006 tomorrow continues.
It will be available from the building next to tennis courts 6 & 7 at the Cricket Club of India from 1200 to 1500 today, Friday 13 October. Media are advised to try and collect the passes as early as possible.
Those intending to collect their passes must bring some form of identification with them and, if possible, a letter of recommendation from their employers/editors etc. This is designed to ensure there is no false collection of passes.
Please also note, possession of an accreditation pass does not guarantee a place in the media box on the day of the match as the pass must be accompanied by a match ticket. These will be issued from 1100 on the morning of the match at a place to be advised. Places in the media box will be allocated according to priority.
