Israel v England (Sky Sports 1 18.30pm)
This is the first competitive meeting between the sides and Sporting Index is giving the slight edge to England predicting a win by 0.5 to 0.7 goal margin for McClaren's men.
With a total of just three goals' scored in England's last three games, it's perhaps not that surprising to see Sporting Index predicting 2.3 - 2.5 total goals in Tel Aviv.
Israel's theatrical traits in a match England must win could result in tensions on the pitch reaching boiling point. However, Sporting Index reckon that referee Tom Henning Ovrebo will hand out just four yellow cards during the 90 minutes. One man on a mission will be Wayne Rooney who has yet to get off the mark in the qualifying stages. Although under pressure, Sporting Index predicts the United front man's goal minutes at 23-25 minutes.
Cricket World Cup
The pressure is certainly on Duncan Fletcher's men and even if England defeat Kenya on Saturday and advance to the Super 8s, Sporting Index predicts they will fail to make the semi-final stage, pricing them at 36-40 for the outright 100 point index. The overall winner is given 100 points, the runner up 80 points and the losing semi-finalists 60 points.
England will look to Kevin Pietersen to grab some more runs after his total of 65 in his opening two matches. Sporting Index thinks he will return to brutal form with the bat and predict he will score a total of 315-340 runs. Sellers may take note of this market after his dreadful five runs against minnows Canada.
Australia v South Africa
The big two go into action on Saturday as Australia face South Africa. With Australia priced at 73-77 favourites and South Africa 62-66 second favourites, each side will be looking for a psychological advantage now they have advanced to the Super 8s.
Both sides have influential players to thank for their progress in Ponting and Smith. The South African captain has been in devastating form so far, smashing 158 in his first two matches and Sporting Index's prediction of 435-460 runs for the whole tournament does look very interesting.
For his part, Ponting has hit 136 runs so far in the tournament and is predicted by Sporting Index to hit between 480 and 505 runs before all is said and done.
Outright markets
Two markets of particular interest to our punters are the Total Sixes and Total Wides markets. After the opening games in the tournament, a total of 167 sixes have been smashed over the short boundaries in the Caribbean and Sporting Index has upped its prediction to 410-425 to be hit by the end of the tournament. Sporting Index has also increased its prediction with regards to the wides, now predicting 800-830 wides will be bowled in the tournament after 276 were delivered in the opening exchanges.
