Having pulled level at 1-1 in the five-match one-day international series with victory in match two on Thursday, England have the momentum going into the third match against Sri Lanka. But the home side will be dangerous after their defeat and are still solid favourites for Sunday's match.
Thursday's win was only their second ever in one-day cricket in Sri Lanka, but that does not paper over the cracks and they remain a work in progress while the home side, on the whole, are a much more accomplished side.
That said, they are still without Muttiah Muralitharan, who looks set to miss the entire series through injury, and his absence does reduce their effectiveness.
Such are the vagaries of the weather in Sri Lanka, Sunday's match is even being talked of as a potential series decider, because the remaining two games will be in Colombo, where washouts are pretty common.
Therefore, expect Sri Lanka to come out firing on Sunday and win the match. Bet365 make them 1/2 favourites (1.50), while England are 6/4.
The first two matches have shown one thing, above all. Win the toss, and you have to bat first because the slowness of the pitch in Dambulla makes chasing the game very difficult.
Kevin Pietersen still hasn't made any runs in the series, but is still 11/4 (3.75) favourites to top-score for England, while Ian Bell is next at 7/2, with Alastair Cook and Paul Collingwood 11/2. Phil Mustard and Owais Shah - the hero of the win on Thursday - are both 13/2, while Luke Wright is an 8/1 chance, though he is unlikely to start.
Sanath Jayasuriya, who is due a big score, is the 3/1 favourite while captain Mahela Jaywardena and Kumar Sangakkara are both 7/2. Upul Tharanga is 9/2, while Chamara Silva is 13/2 and Tillekeratne Dilshan is a 9/1 chance.
