Bangladesh gave England an enormous scare in the second one-day international on Tuesday but Eoin Morgan's century won that one for them and now they must be considered huge favourites to complete a series whitewash by winning the last match in the series on Friday.
England are now 1/6 to win the final match with bet365 and the chances are thay they will perform more consistently on Friday, while Bangladesh may not be up to producing quite so strong a performance as they did in match two.
Despite his heroics in match two, Morgan is just third favourite to top-score for England, at 4/1 with bet365. Instead, favouritism goes to captain Alastair Cook and Kevin Pietersen at 7/2.
Original series preview
With all due respect to Bangladesh, who have been working very hard to narrow the gap between themselves and the main international cricket nations, there is only one bet to be had when they play England in a three-match one-day series next month.
All three matches will be played in Dhaka and unless the weather ruins things, it simply has to be a 3-0 victory for the tourists, which makes it quite surprising that bet365 only make England 11/10 to win the series 3-0.
Now we all know that England are capable of losing any one-day match, to anyone, so it is by no means a certainty, but all things being equal they should be too good. Bangladesh have won some one-dayers against the big guns before but if England's heads are in the right place, they ought to win 3-0.
It's not a very important series for England, in theory, but then they are a work in progress in one-day terms and so perhaps they will be more motivated than usual. It's very difficult to second guess but that won't stop me.
Bet365 go 6/4 that England win it 2/1, while it's 3/1 that Bangladesh cause an enormous shock by taking the series overall, 4/1 that they win it 2-1 and 18/1 that they manage the unthinkable, a 3-0 victory.
England captain Andrew Strauss and fast bowler James Anderson will be rested for the series, leaving Alastair Cook to skipper the side. Kevin Pieteren is playing and they should have enough about them to see off Banglaesh.
