England still have a sniff

England fought back to force a tie in the fourth one-day international against New Zealand somehow they still have a chance to tie the series at 2-2 by winning the final match scheduled to take place in Christchurch on Saturday.

Having won the third match - after being beaten in two woeful performances in the first two matches - the momentum is with England. But as we've discussed many times before, momentum is a very difficult thing to quantify in one-day cricket.

Despite getting 340 in the fourth match, England still almost lost, but though it was on a small ground, they were lucky to snatch a tie, keeping them alive in the series.

I don't see any reason at all why England should be favourites for this match, but that's what they are with bet365, who make them 4/6 (1.66) compared to New Zealand's 11/10 (2.10), which therefore has to rate as good value.

Kevin PIetersen is 10/3 favourite, but Alastair Cook and Ian Bell, both who have been in better form than KP, are 4/1. Phil Mustard, who played well in the fourth match, is 9/2, just ahead of captain Paul Collingwood, at 5/1, while Owais Shah is 8/1.

Brendon McCullum, as he has been throughout the series, is 7/2 favourite, with Jesse Ryder next at 4/1. Jamie How is 9/2, Roos Taylor 5/1 and Scott Styris a 6/1 chance. And don't forget Jacob Oram at 7/1, especially if it's a low-scoring match.
