England too strong at Edgbaston

It didn't take long for the optimism of West Indies' one-day skills to be destroyed as England crushed them in the opener to the three-match series. And bet365 make the home side 1/2 (1.50) to win Wednesday's second match for an unassailable 2-0 lead

It didn't take long for the optimism of West Indies' one-day skills to be destroyed as England crushed them in the opener to the three-match series. And bet365 make the home side 1/2 (1.50) to win Wednesday's second match for an unassailable 2-0 lead.
Paul Collingwood seems to have had an impressive impact since taking over as one-day captain and England already look an improved outfit from their woeful showing at the World Cup.
The home side are deserved favourites to win at Edgbaston, while West Indies may not have too many backers at 6/4 on a ground where they have not beaten England since 1976 - admittedly there have not been too many games in that time - but it's still relevant.
West Indies' recent record is much better - better than England's as we saw in the preview for the first match - but the momentum is all with the home side and I'd be surprised if this is anything other than a straightforward win for them.
Kevin Pietersen is the obvious favourite to be England's top runscorer, at 5/2, while fit-again Ian Bell is 4/1 and Alastair Cook is a 9/2 chance.
Matt Prior is 5/1, Collingwood and Owais Shah are both 6/1.
For West Indies, Shivnarine Chanderpaul is 7/2 favourite, while opener Chris Gayle is 4/1 and Devon Smith is 9/2.
Runako Morton and Dwayne Bravo are both 11/2 while Marlon Samuels could be an interesting bet at 6/1.
