South African cricket legend Dr Ali Bacher will be the guest speaker at a function hosted by the Israel Cricket Association on Monday September 20 at 19:00.
Dr. Bacher, who captained arguably the finest South African team of all time to four straight victories over Australia in 1969-70, was known for his tenacious performances on the field, and later became an influential cricket administrator, both during South Africa's isolation from international sport and after their readmission. He was CEO of the 2003 Cricket World Cup organizing committee. He recently released a best selling autobiography.
