All 16 teams taking part in the ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup will face the media next week ahead of the start of the tournament.
Over the course of three days from Monday 30 January to Wednesday 1 February, the captain, coach and team manager of each of the sides will undertake a media conference at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo.
The sessions, which start at 3.00 on Monday and Tuesday (31 January) and 9.00 on Wednesday, are designed to give the media the chance to find out about the sides that are set to do battle in a tournament that starts on Sunday 5 February and runs for 15 days throughout the city.
The timings of the sessions are as follows:
30 January 31 January 1 February
3.00 – Australia 3.00 – Bangladesh 9.00 – USA
3.15 – Ireland 3.15 – India 9.15 – England

All sessions will last 15 minutes except for hosts Sri Lanka, together with India, who will be available for 30 minutes.
The sessions will offer those media that have been successful in their applications for media accreditation with the chance to collect their passes for the tournament.
The Galadari Hotel, Colombo is located at 64 Lotus Road, Colombo 01 (tel: +94 11 2 544 544, fax: +94 11 2 449875).
The ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup 2006 will take place between February 5 and 19. 16 teams are scheduled to play 44 matches in 15 days at five different venues in Colombo.
The tournament is returning to Sri Lanka after a six year gap as it was previously held on the island in 2000 when India beat the hosts in the final. Sri Lanka is the only country to host the event for a second time.
Pakistan are the defending champions after winning the previous ICC U/19 Cricket World Cup tournament, held in Bangladesh, in 2004.
Further details of the tournament, including the schedule of matches and background on the competing teams can be found at the official tournament website
