Victorian all-rounder Ian Harvey has been called into Australia's Carlton & United Series squad to replace injured Queensland paceman Adam Dale, who is struggling with shoulder tendonitis.
Harvey was rewarded for his excellent form for Victoria in both the Pura Milk and Mercantile Mutual Cups, and will join the 13-man squad in time for Wednesday's day-nighter against Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Dale is the second member of the Australian bowling attack to succumb to injury this summer, with vice-captain Shane Warne replace by fellow leg-spinner Stuart MacGill after tearing his side muscle during Australia's loss to Pakistan in the opening match of the Carlton & United Series.
