HKCA offers Level I Coaching Course
The Hong Kong Cricket Association has announced plans to offer a Level I Coaching Course in Hong Kong during March 2009.

The Hong Kong Cricket Association is offering a Level I Coaching Course for suitable candidates during March 2009. The HKCA Level I Coaching Course is supported by the Hongkong Bank Foundation Course Accreditation Programme.
The course, which involves 16 hours of tuition, will be held at the Pakistan Association of Hong Kong clubrooms in Kowloon and will be limited to a maximum of 20 candidates.
The aims of the HKCA Level I Coaching Course will be to:
- Introduce the game of cricket to school teachers and others who may not have any experience in or knowledge of the game.
- Enable them to teach the basic skills of the game to children of primary and junior school age.
- Show how the game of cricket has much to offer people of all ages, both in enjoyment and involvement.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and will be selected on the following criteria*:
1. Persons who have already passed the Level 0 Coaching Course.
2. Qualified PE Teachers.
3. Cricketers.
4. Students in a sports discipline.

*Candidates will be selected on the above criteria in the event that over 20 applications for course positions are received.
The course fee is HK$400 per person. The course will run is two eight hour sessions (from 0900hrs to 1800hrs) on 14th March and 21st March 2009 and attendees will be required to sit a short examination at the end of the course.
Candidates who successfully complete the full 16 hours course will receive a certificate of attendance. Upon completion of a further minimum 30 hours of internship, candidates will be awarded the 'HKCA Level I Coaching Certificate'.
Applications for course attendance must be received by 9th March 2009.
