1 Instances of a team successfully chasing a target higher than the 223 hauled down by the Hobart Hurricanes in non-international T20s. Sussex had chased down 226 against Essex in a NatWest T20 Blast match in July 2014. In T20 internationals, there have been only two instances when a team has chased down more than 223.
3 Number of times targets of 200 or more have been successfully chased in the Big Bash League. The Hurricanes have been the winning team in all these instances. Before this match, the Hurricanes won against the Brisbane Heat in 2013-14 and beat them again in 2014-15. This was the team's third successful attempt, out of five matches, chasing targets of 200 or more. In the other ten instances in the BBL, teams chasing targets of 200-plus have ended up losing.
445 Runs scored in the match between the Hurricanes and the Melbourne Renegades - the most in a Big Bash League game. The previous highest was 419 made between the Heat and the Hurricanes in 2013-14. The Hurricanes won that match, chasing a target of 210.
210 The highest team total in the BBL before today's match, by the Hurricanes at the Gabba against the Heat in 2013-14. The Renegades broke the record in their innings before the Hurricanes wrested it back. Four of the seven highest team totals in the BBL have been made by the Hurricanes.
114 Ben McDermott's score, the highest in a successful chase in the BBL. Incidentally, the previous highest was by the Renegades captain Aaron Finch, who made an unbeaten 111 against the Melbourne Stars at the same venue in 2012-13. McDermott's score is the highest in a successful chase in any T20 played in Australia.
51.12 Percentage of the Hurricanes' runs scored by McDermott - the third-highest by a batsman in a successful chase of 200 or more in all T20s. Luke Wright had contributed 67.69% (153) to Sussex's total of 226 in Chelmsford in 2014 and Mahela Jayawardene had made 110 out of Kings XI Punjab's 204 (53.92%) against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2010.
2 Instances before this match when a team won off the last ball while chasing a 200-plus target in T20s, with two or fewer wickets in hand. Royal Challengers Bangalore did this against South Australia in the Champions League in 2011-12, and Quetta Gladiators did so more recently, beating Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League last year.
1 Number of times a bowler has conceded more runs in a BBL match than Thisara Perera's 59. That instance came against the Hurricanes as well: the Melbourne Stars' Daniel Worrall conceded 60 against them in 2014-15.
1 Batsmen younger than McDermott, aged 22 years and 31 days, to make a century in the Big Bash League. Travis Head was younger than McDermott by a mere 29 days when he hit a hundred for the Adelaide Strikers against the Sydney Sixers in the 2015-16 season. Overall, there have only been 15 centuries in the BBL and McDermott's was the first of this season.
251 Wickets by Sunil Narine in T20s - the tenth-highest by any bowler. Narine became the tenth bowler to take 250 wickets in T20s when he dismissed Beau Webster in the 19th over. Narine's figures of 3 for 27 were the best from either side in the match.
